Welcome to the first public demo of XenForo 2. We've been working hard on XenForo 2 for a long time and we're excited to show it off. It's important you understand what to expect from this demo and what happens from now.
Work in progress
This is very much alpha software that is still a work in progress and there are still a lot of things we are tweaking. You should expect to run into some bugs and broken things. You'll probably find some incomplete or missing features. You'll find some rough edges. One of the purposes of this demo is to help find these things.
If you find something that's broken or buggy, please report it as a bug. It's possible we know about it, but we'd rather get 2 reports of an issue than none. We'll look into each report and figure out how to handle it.
If you find something you don't like, give us some feedback. We can't guarantee we'll agree with you, but we'll take the feedback on board. Remember though, if you're suggesting a new feature or what you're suggesting isn't tied to what you're seeing with XenForo 2, it's best to keep posting it in the main suggestions forum. We'll guide you there if we think it's a better location for your suggestion.
This is a temporary install
Once we're ready to move on to the next stage of XenForo 2 testing, this demo will be retired and won't be accessible. This is one of the reasons why we're suggesting that you keep bigger suggestions within the main XenForo community.
We'll try to migrate some outstanding discussions manually as needed, but don't rely on this forum being perpetually available.
What's next, when's next
After we're happy with the state of this demo and XenForo 2, the next step will be a developer preview release. This is targeted at developers so they can start integrating with the XenForo 2 core code, but anyone with the necessary technical ability (and active license) will be able to install and play with it.
Expect us to be in the demo stage for a while though. Beyond gathering feedback and fixing reported bugs, we're finishing up a few behind the scenes things (and doing testing of things you can't see).
So go have a play around and let us know what you think!
